Hi
I need to recreate certificate and symmetric key from database Proddb in database TestDB.

I have backed up certificate to a file and recreated it in my Testdb database (using the cert backup file)
Now i need to recreate Symmetric key. And i cant figure out how.
I found this great article winch explains the issue, and it seems like its no big deal to recreate it, but i have to know IDENTITY_VALUE and Key_Source values and i don't have it. All i have is the password that was used to encrypt data in my Proddb

My question is: Does anyone know how to recreate Symmetric Key?

Here is the link to the above mentioned article
http://sqlblog.com/blogs/michael_co...-keys.aspx
Also Microsoft similar article here
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/lib...05%29.aspx

Thank you all for your help.
