I just need any input/advise from any SQL DBA. I've been a DBA now for few years. But on and off with no certification, just self learned. I'd like to commit and be a good DBA, get certified for it. I'm checking the Microsoft site and now they have new path for Certification (MCSA, MCSE (Data Platform) and MCSE (BI) ). I need to start somewhere. What is the best way to study for these tests. As Microsoft does not have yet sample test questions for SQL server 2012 and these certifications are geared towards 2012. I really do not believe in 5 - 10 day classes, for thousands of $s, so if anyone suggests how to study for them. Any advise is appreciated. Should I maybe go for the MCTS certification for SQL2008 and later on upgrade? But it seems like that is going to be obsolete soon.

Many thanks in advance.
