hey guys... quick question for the pros out there.

it's fairly easy to configure C2 Auditing, or Common Criteria Compliance, but
my question is for the audit log file.

i know the auditing uses trace files. no big deal there, but every time they
fill 200mb it rolls over to another 200mb file.

is it possible ( programmatically ) to have the trace file only create a limited
number of tracefiles, and simply re-use them?

i don't want the drive space filling up, and trying to manage that alittle bit.

thanks in advance :)

There is no way to change that behaviour AFAIK. The idea behind C2 auditing is that NOTHING gets lost so overwriting the files is counter to it's intended purpose. The best option if you absolutely must use C2 is to have a job that routinely moves files off to another location or deletes the ones you no longer want.

thanks gunny... i was wondering why there was nothing out there for it, but
since it has to be 100%; then i suppose i'll just do the job solution.

many thanks :):)
