Hello everyone
Happy Friday.

Quick question please.
Once huge sproc with 7 INSERTS OR 7 separate procs and one to call them all.
This is my preference: 7 separate sprocs each with just one INSERT code (easy to manage and pinpoint failure, can be run separately etc)

what are your thought? One proc or seven

your input is greatly appreciated

thank you

If they are all related then I would go with one proc. To me that woould be far easier to maintain and debug than 8.

I would have to agree with gunneyk. Unless there is a chance that any of the sprocs could be re-used as part of another process, I would keep them together.

One proc is safer if atomicity is important here too.
