Hi Masters,

    One person asked my if i can tell it who made some change in one table of is database.

A person as change a value in a table from 1 to 2 and he wants to know if it possible to find out o did that.


Is it possible?

Generally not possible unless you're running a trace when it happened. Maybe possible with a log reader tool. You can create triggers on tables you want to audit and insert the changed record along with SYSTEM_USER, host_name(), APP_NAME(), user_name(), getdate() to a logging table.

Or look at log with third party tools if the db is not in simple recovery model.
