We have a 64-bit SQL Server and have assigned Lock Pages in Memory.  As soon as you add the “Lock Pages in Memory” privilege for the service account, start enabled this option.

Can someone please explain exactly what these are, when would you use them, and should they be enabled?
Should Lock Pages in Memory be enabled on 64-bit systems?

Please advise.  TIA!

Should be enabled on all servers, that will prevent swapping cached data to page file thus better performance. In fact, that's the first thing we check here when troubleshoot performance issues.
