Should turn on trace flag with 'dbcc traceon(1204, -1)', sql will log details in sql server log then.

You might want to try 1222 as well.

hi,

After running these commands dbcc traceon(1204, -1) and dbcc traceon(1222, -1), do I need to run another command to turn them off ?
Or can just leave them as "ON" ?
Any adverse impact to my SQL server ?

You can turn them off once get deadlock details with 'dbcc traceoff', or leave them on until restart sql next time. They have very light impact.
