I am installing SSIS on a 64-bit box.  The SQL Server instance is on a different box, is installed, and is 64-bit.

When I launch the 32-bit SSIS installation setup executable, I am getting a window that says the following:

Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 installation has failed

SQL Server 2008 Setup requires .NET Framework 3.5 to be installed.

.NET 3.5 is installed.

I am lost on how to resolve or get around this.

Thank you.

Let me back up a minute and ask this question please. The SSIS installation object is SQL_IS.MSI, correct? If so, what other SQL tools would you recommend to be installed on a SSIS only server?

Thank you

None if you don't design package on that machine.
