I am using DTS to transfer data from one server to another server where a certain date field is between two specified dates. Two Parameters hold the specified dates.

The package resides on a big SQL-Server 6.5 station(A). I created the package and run it without any problem from my personal SQL-Server 7.0/2000 station(B).

When run in a scheduled job on (A) it crashes with the following messages:
************************************************
... DTSRun: Executing... DTSRun OnStart: DTSStep_DTSExecuteSQLTask_5 DTSRun OnFinish: DTSStep_DTSExecuteSQLTask_5 DTSRun OnStart: DTSStep_DTSExecuteSQLTask_4 DTSRun OnFinish: DTSStep_DTSExecuteSQLTask_4 DTSRun OnStart: DTSStep_DTSExecuteSQLTask_6 DTSRun OnFinish: DTSStep_DTSExecuteSQLTask_6 DTSRun OnStart: DTSStep_DTSDataPumpTask_7 DTSRun OnError: DTSStep_DTSDataPumpTask_7, Error = -2147217904 (80040E10) Error string: [IBM][Client Access Express ODBC Driver (32-bit)]ExtendedDynamic support disabled. Error source: Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers Help file: Help context: 0 Error Detail Records: Error: -2147217904 (80040E10); Provider Error: 0 (0) Error string: Error source: Help file: Help context: 0 Error: -2147217904 (80040E10); Provider Error: 0 (0) Error string: Error source: Help file: Help context: 0 DTSRun OnFinish: DT... Process Exit Code 1. The step failed.
************************************************

Has the problem anything to do with compatability between version 6.5 and version7.0?
Any other ideas?

The message is obviously shortened with the three dots '...' here and there. Where are the actual logs?

Are you dealing with AS/400 in the DTS?

Yes I am !!!

The data source is AS400, and the destination is the SQL-Server 6.5

why?

What is the version of IBM Client Access Express driver?
Have you tried with latest driver?

What does SP stand for, what is it?

>Does sql agent service account have permission on as/400?
I have many scheduled packages in jobs transfering data from AS-400 to SQL-Server DataWarehouse every week. Hope that answers the question.

SP stands for Service pack.
Also mention for 6.5/7 and 2K SQL servers.

Have you managed to test with latest client express driver?
