Installing Reporting Services and Local Systems account

The installation manual for installing Reporting Services says that you should use the Local Systems account for the SQL Server instance that has the report server database. My normal SQL Server machine uses a domain account because of SQL mail. And it does not appear that I can install another instance of SQL Server on this box, because the install manual says that I cannot use a named instance under Windows XP or Windows 2000. Is the only solution to put the report server database on a SQL box by itself? Or is their another solution?
