I am working through some exercises and have gotten the following error:

Error 1 Cube 'Adventure Works DW' > Measure Group 'Fact Internet Sales' : Semi-additive measure requires a time dimension. 0 0

I do not find anything in books online about this. Any assistance is appreciated.

Some measures (semi-additive measures) are simply not meant to be aggregated (e.g. SUM function..) across specific dimensions, particularly time. Consider for instance inventory levels, staffing demographics or current account balances.

Which aggregate function are you using?

Which perspective are you using?

Do you have a time dimension?
