I have just migrated databases from sql 2k to sql 2k5 with logins, jobs etc. The users are Windows account in sql server. But the windows users lost database mapping once the migration completed.

The domain logins exist on server levle and database level. It just did not appear on User Mapping under server Security. The logins mapping to the databases for some reason were lost, how to fix it?

The orphaned user is for SQL account only. The accounts which lost database mapping are Domain accounts.

Yes. I can see the users from sp_helpuser in each database. Just can not see the database mapping from SQL server login under Security for these Domain user accounts.
