Hi,

We have a DB that seems to change its recovery model by itself. Has anyone ever experienced this before. Win 2000, SQL 2kSP3a.

I have checked the job steps that run every night and can't find any SQL that changes it. Does anyone know of other SQL commands/processes that might change the recovery model implicitly?

Can anyone suggest a method of trapping the event?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
JD.

I guessed that.
With a bit of further searching I found the following.

EXEC SP_DBOPTION 'RiskScape','trunc. log on chkpt.','TRUE'
backup database RiskScape to RiskScapeBackupDevice with skip, init
EXEC SP_DBOPTION 'RiskScape','trunc. log on chkpt.','FALSE'

I believe the: EXEC SP_DBOPTION 'RiskScape','trunc. log on chkpt.','FALSE' statement would put the datbase in full recovery mode.

Thanks anyway.
