We are planning to buy some tools for the following requirements:
1. Backup files compression: Which one is good Redgate/Idera?
2. To retrieve trasactions from the tran log backups: Not sure who has this tool.
3. I want to track the changes done to any of the database objects like dropping tables, stored procs etc: Not sure if there are any tools for this purpose.
I appreciate all your responses. Thanks!

I used SQL Litespeed to satisfaction.

It compresses and encrypts at the same time.

My databases did not have lots of empty space, so the compression factor was less than claimed in their marketing literature.
