Hi All,

I have attempted to use SNAPSHOT replication as a DR solution for one of my application database. This so I could not bother doing a EOD restore of database backup to the DR box.

The database is 150MB.

Using Enterprise Manager, I created a snapshot replication publisher. The articles form only displayed tables and stored procedures. checked all of them.

After a sync realised that some of the objects do not exist in the DR server.

Ran this query to compare the object count.

select xtype,count(xtype)
from sysobjects
group by xtype

Production has
=========
F 2
K 6
P 13
S 19
TR 2
U 5
V 2

DR has
======
P 13
S 19
U 5
V 2

Q1) What should I do to ensure that all my objects are synchronised to the DR in a snapshot replication ?
In Enterprise Manager, publisher setup does not seem to show me all objects apart from table and stored procedures.

Q2) The tables have identity columns. The setup displayed we have to re-create the tables in the destination server with the "NOT FOR replication " property set for the identity columns.

What is the impact of not doing so ?

Q3) When selecting all the procedures as articles, it mentioned all depended objects should be replicated. I checked for the dependency of the displayed stored procedures and that table is already part of the publication. Is this just a warning ?

Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks
