I'm using a SQL 2000 Linked Server to access DB2 using a Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC. The DB2 client is 7.2.

I can select data from the data source going to a Host DB2 table; however, I'm not able to insert data:

I get the following error message:

Server: Msg 7399, Level 16, State 1, Line 37
OLE DB provider 'MSDASQL' reported an error.
[OLE/DB provider returned message: [IBM][CLI Driver] CLI0133E Option type out of range. SQLSTATE=S1092]
OLE DB error trace [OLE/DB Provider 'MSDASQL' IRowsetChange::InsertRow returned 0x80004005: ].

To be honest, not sure what this means. The insert worked fine with DB2 client 5.2 and stopped working with DB2 Client version 7.0. However,I'm able to insert data from the DB2 command line on the Windows 2000 Server, but when I create SQL Linked Server pointing to the same ODBC connection, I get this message. It seems like the Linked Server is talking correctly to the DB2 driver.
