So I'm doing some DR testing and I restore the MSDB database backup from ServerA to ServerB. Well, the maintenance plans from ServerA then started running twice per schedule. Come to find out there is something inside the SSIS package that was still pointing to ServerA.

Then I deleted the Maintenace Plans from ServerB and it also deleted the plans from ServerA!

What the heck is going on?

msdb restore on a different server is not automated to the level of changing over internal references, therefore it requires manual fixes.

Here is a thread on the issue:

Let us know if helpful.
