I am currently trying to create a new SQL endpoint using BASIC authentication but I have not been able to browse to the WSDL after creation. Previously I was using INTEGRATED security and I had no problem connecting to the URL to view the WSDL. The reason that I need to use BASIC is for a proof-of-concept project and I don't want use INTEGRATED for the time being. I have not seen any tutorials online discussing the configuration using BASIC.

CREATE ENDPOINT Endpoint_TestParam
STATE = STARTED
AS HTTP (
AUTHENTICATION = ( BASIC ),
PATH = '/sql/test1param',
PORTS = ( SSL ),
SSL_PORT = 443,
SITE = 'uspg2-10-022a'
)
FOR SOAP (
WEBMETHOD 'http://uspg2-10-022a'.'usp_Endpoint_Test1param'
(
NAME = 'CompanyName.dbo.usp_Endpoint_Test1param'
,FORMAT = ROWSETS_ONLY
),
BATCHES = ENABLED,
WSDL = DEFAULT,
LOGIN_TYPE = MIXED
)
