I have set up several transactional replications between two SQL Y2K servers with the same services user-id and password. All but two succeed, and the two that fail fail with the Syntax error or access violation error.

I have looked at the event log on the subscribing server, and I only find the error message. I have not rebuilt the subscriptions yet but wanted to determine the root cause first.

Any suggestions on where to look?

The two servers are not in the same domain.

The user-id is a local admin in the workgroup (publisher) and a system admin in the domain (subscriber). I am executing pull subscriptions from the subscriber for all replications.

Thank you.
