Im trying to create a variable to hold the expression of an sql statement.

Every attempt to add parameters to the variable ends with an error that the statement is not properly ended.

The sql statement that im writing is a select statement to pull data from oracle.

1. Created a Variable @GlvDetailsSQL
2. Set Expression = "SELECT JE, JE_SUB, JE_CCN FROM JE_DTL WHERE JE = " + @[User::JE]
3. Open OLE DB Source and set data access mode to SQL command from variable
3. Set Variable name to @GlvDetailsSQL

Now when I try to hit continue or click the columns option I get this error.

Error at Data Flow Task [Glovia (Details) [1]]: SSIS Error Code DTS_E_OLEDBERROR. An OLE DB error has occurred. Error code: 0x80040E14.
An OLE DB record is available. Source: "OraOLEDB" Hresult: 0x80040E14 Description: "ORA-00933: SQL command not properly ended".

Im using this article as a guideline:

Any Ideas??

It would also help if I put the Group By in the correct place

The single quote was an issue as well.

Thanks russellb
