I have created a report that involves many steps of SQL code. Right now I simply have all the SELECT statements saved in one text file. I open in it up in Query Analyzer and run it.

Should I make this into a stored procedure so that when I want to run it I simply just open one line of code opposed to all 200 lines?

What are the other benefits of stored procedures. I usually stay away from them for some strange reason.

... Also, in my script, I am using alot of #Temporary Tables. I guess they are not supported in Stored Procedures. Does this mean i would have to physically create a table and drop it each time?
