I am tasked with creating an OLAP cube in our new SQL Server 2005 Ent Server while using Informatica Powercenter 7.1.1 to perform the ETL since it is our standard ETL tool. The cube will have to be refreshed at least once a week if not daily depending on the future usage of it.

Does anyone have any articles links or other material that might help me take on this task? Anything would help...thanks in advance.

With informatica you are only refreshing the underlying SQL 2005 tables?

Do you have the updated version of informatica?

SQL 2005 cubes don't care how the underlying tables got updated.

Can you kick off a SQL agent job from informatica?

If yes, you can have informatica initiate an SSIS package job for cube processing.

Otherwise you can schedule the job with SQL agent.

Right. It doesn't matter how the data gets there, as long as it gets there.
