snap shot replication thru a firewall

Greeting All,

I am setting up a simple snapshot replication thru a firewall. The network admin guy already open port 1500 on the firewall to allow traffic. Could you show me how to set up the replication thru the firewall? or point me to any article, link, or book???

Configure client and server network utilities to utilise port 1500, if you're using TCP/IP netowkr libraries,

Remember to tell you firewall guy which server is initiating communication, so that he gets the source and destinatoin detail correct. This will be dependent on whether you're using push or pull subscriptions.
