I wasn't sure which forum to place this in!

I have created an ENDPOINT for SOAP. The code is below.

I then attemtp to access the WSDL from the webiste as;
http://ServerName/AWemployees?WSDL

When I did this in Internet Explorer, I was been asked for a userid & password. Although I entered my userid & password which is the same userid & password I use each morning to login into the network, it wouldn't work, i kept getting a blank web page after 3 attempts.

This ENDPOINT isn't using IIS, it's using SQL Server 2005 as the web server.

Now, come the wierd part of all this. I have come in this morning and entered the same web site as above and I can now see the WSDL web page.

Can someone assist me in ascertaining what has happened here? When you create an ENDPOINT, does it take some time to be available or something?

CREATE ENDPOINT EmployeeWebService

STATE = STARTED

AS HTTP
(
PATH = '/AWemployees',
AUTHENTICATION = (INTEGRATED),
PORTS = (CLEAR),
SITE = 'GCTBNE-PMGM01'

)

FOR SOAP

(
WEBMETHOD 'ListEmployees'
(
NAME = 'AdventureWorks.dbo.USP_ListEmployeesByDepartment',
SCHEMA = STANDARD
),
WSDL = DEFAULT,
SCHEMA = STANDARD,
DATABASE = 'AdventureWorks',
NAMESPACE = 'http://adventureworks.com/'
);

Sounds like caching delay.
