I have been making and saving SSIS packages by:

1. right clicking on a database
2. selecting export data
3. setting up the package to run immediately and to save it to Sql Server in MSDB for future execution

ever since sql server 2005 came out using my laptop.

Today i did the same thing as i have always done but i get a message:

SQL Server Import and Export Wizard
Save to SQL Server failed.
No such interface supported.

after trying again and again with no luck ... i tried it from another computer and it worked fine.

Any hints as to what happpened?

Just tried it worked OK.

If you did not do anything different than "yesterday", corruption is a possibility.

Do a diskcheck. Possibly plug-in an external disk and try it on that.

If nothing works, reinstall SQL Server 2005.

Seems your registry has gone bad or missing.
Repair SSIS from setup application.
