We have a SQL Server 2000 SP3 transactional replication currently pushing to Oracle 184.108.40.206.0. It has been in existence and operational for almost 3 years and we have recently noticed a problem. About 2000 rows out of 750,000 rows in an article of replication have had updates fail to push from SQL Server to Oracle.
The detail behind the 2000 missing updates show that the problem sporadically occurs. We have watched the updates for several days and found that about 2 updates fail to push through to Oracle out of about 10,000 updates per day. Our stored procedures function as normal. The replication agents are running with verbose logging and show no problems.
We have been able to place only the 2 items for update into the processing queue, execute the stored procedures, and see replication report that the 2 items were delivered to Oracle without error. Although, reviewing the data afterwards, shows that the Oracle target has not changed.
Has anyone encountered such an issue before?
