Hi All

A customer wants to move there sql-server-2000 application to a cluster. Unfortunately, the current server is going to be rebuilt as node-1. So my draft plan is ...

- to backup users, detach all databases so I can backup master to the san
- reattach and backup all user databases to san (msde?)
- script-out all jobs (just-in-case)
- (windows team builds Windows 2003 cluster and patches)
- install vanilla sql-server-2000 cluster and patch
- restore master and msde
- restore all user databases.

comments please

You have to include server logins and database logins migration.

Also save DTS packages in VB format in case you have to reload them.

Thanks for that.

I found how to save DTS packages no problem. But how do I save logins?
