Hi

I am new to OLAP and cubes. I want to know how to create a cube where the measure is simply a count of customers.. For example to keeo it simple we have a Residential Address table which has customer names and addresses. Say I just want to create a cube where the measure is simpley the count of customer records and the dimension state (NSW, SA, QLD, VIC, SA, WA, TAS) and all I want is a count of customer records by state and for all states. From what I can see so far I have to choose a field from my residential address table as a measure but I just want my measure to be a count of customers. How do I do this

You need an appropriately named column which is populated with ones (1) .
