I have a batch file that calls a DTS package. In the DTS Package I am storing a value as an output variable that I want to send back to the Batch file to include in the body of an email that will be sent out. I am well aware of how to send variables TO the DTS package from the batch file using the RUNDTS command but I am not sure how to return variables back to the batch file.

Is it possible to send a variable from the DTS package back to the Batch file?

Thank You,
Marc

How about sending the email from DTS?
