I need to update a SQL 2000 instance to SP4 - so far, it seems pretty straighforward.

Another instance however, is clustered (Active/Passive 2 nodes)

I'm wondering if anyone knows of any troubles or issues I might encounter with the cluster???

I'm assuming I update on the active node, and that's it...? Done?

Any ideas?

Thanks!

when you say double check, do you mean failover to the passive node and do SELECT @@version to make sure it reads the same version as the active node?

I'm hoping it's as simple as this.

Thanks!

Yep, that is all ya have to do. Also, do NOT stop the services to apply the SP on clustered SQL Servers. It will take care of all of that for you.
