I have a brand new installation of SQL Server 2000 Standard Edition and have just enabled replication. When I attempt to start the initial snapshot, I immediately get the error:

Could not find stored procedure 'dbo.sp_MSmakeexpandproc'.

I have other servers with the same exact replication setup on it and they all work fine. For some reason, this server did not install these system stored procedures on this new server. Any ideas what to do to get these procedures installed???

Thanks in advance,
Tony D

Yes, they are all running SQL Server 2000 Standard Edition with SP3 on them.

I have tried disabling publishing several times, cleaning replication out and trying again, but nothing appears to be working. I can't create the procedures manually, so I'm stuck. Do I need to un-install and re-install SQL Server all over again? I don't want to have to do that, but if that is the only thing that might fix this, I will.

thanks,
Tony
