I have SQL 2000 Developer on a XP pc along with AS. Every time that I launch AS, I get a "cannot create the temp directory. Make sure that you have enough disk space and try again" message. I have 56 GB free.

Then when I create a data source to a new AS database on the same machine, I get the message "Database or object is read-only".

I have looked through BOL and verified that I am a olap admin.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I verified that I had more than enough space and ended up signing on to the computer with my admin account to do any AS development.

So with admin everything works, not with the other account.

Could it be a permissioning issue?

The originator stated that the account is OLAP admin. Although not clear on which machine.
