Does the client take a performance hit when running SSIS packages?

When executing DTS packages from a client PC or application server, the package utilized the hardware resources on the client to execute the package. Is this true with SSIS and if so, to what extent are the resources (CPU, disk, memory) used?

Thanks, Dave

I would imagine if the package is only running stored procedures then the bulk of the work is done on the database server. Correct?

But if the package is also performing file managment (extracts, ext.) then I suspect that type of work uses the client's resources. Correct?

What about transformations? Is this work handled primarily by the client?

If the package contains dynamic SQL is this load handled primarily by SQL Server or the client?

Thanks
