I want to know how to create a form letter in reporting services. Do I use the Rectangle, the List, or a Table? What are the best uses for the Rectangle and the List? Thanks in advance for your help.

Rectangle is just an object for presentation... it serves no purpose other than 'put a box on the page at x,y coordinates'.

A list is a data region associated with a data set. It has a grouping level... you can include other data regions, such as lists, tables and matrixes within a listbox, and group them all on the same value from a data set.
