Hi all,

I am setting up a snap shot replication and got an error message of 14294 when I am about to finish the set up for publishing. I search the microsoft site for this error but no result. Could some one please tell me what the error is and how to fix it?

Thank you for your time,

ConKi.

Thank you, rm.

Following are the steps that I did to set up the replication:
1) Configure publishing, Subscribers, and distribution in the publisher server (say srv1).
2) On the publisher, create a new snap shot replication using the Create Publication Wizard:
a) Choose the publication database.
b) Select Publication Type (snap shot).
c) Specify Subscriber type (choose Servers running SQL Server 2000).
d) Specify Articles (choose 1 table).
e) Set a name for the publication.
f) Customize the properties of the publication, select No, create the publication as specified.
g) Click Finish to complete the wizard. Get error 14294: 'Supply either @job_id or @job_name to identify the job.'

yes, the compatible level is 80.

yes, I applied service pack.

Thank you for your time. This is urgent.

Thank you, rm.
Based on your last reply, I doubt that some thing goes wrong with the server, I reboot the server and things went OK.

Thank you so much,

ConKi.
