We have a problem I hope somone can help with. We have a customer with an old DB5 database that we converted to SQL2000. When they run a name search on the old system they get 7 records back (using soundex). When they run the same name search on the SQL2000 system with soundex they only get 2 records.

Thanks in advance for your help.

No, not the same number of rows. Difference between relational and non? Although, the data should be the same, meaning the same number of records should exist in both systems.

The query is just a simple name search. Are there soundex settings in SQL we can alter?

Thanks RM, you are always helpful.
