Hello -

I have a cube with a text measure named "Faculty Type". There are only two possible values for this measure - Adjunct or Full-Time.

After I process the cube I get the total count for both types - Adjunct and Full-time.

How do I create two calculated cells (one for the Adjunct count and one for the Full-Time count)?

Thanks in advance!

This is probably not the optimal answer, but I like to create a view of my fact table and create columns for counting. You could use case statements to create two new columns with '1' or '0' on each row. Maybe something like this:

Select *,
CASE WHEN Faculty Type = 'Adjunct' THEN '1' ELSE '0' END AS AdjunctCount
CASE WHEN Faculty Type = 'Full-Time'' THEN '1' ELSE '0' END AS FullTimeCount
From YourFactTable

Not sure if that will work, but what the heck....it's free.

Oops.

You have to put a comma after the first case statement.

I would make "Faculty Type" a Dimension with One Level "Falculty Type Desc" and Two Members Adjunct and Full-Time then Create a measure from your PK or Surgate Key and set it as Count Aggregation.
