Dear all,

I have installed SQL2008 Developer Edition on Windows Server 2008.

I can remote access the above server and running SQL 2008 Management Studio.

However, I can't access it by other pc.

I installed SQL 2008 Management Studio in my pc (XP SP3) and connect it but failed.

SQL 2005 management studio also failed.

By the way, I have checked the SQL 2008 Server can accept remote access. (Right click server properties --> Connections --> allowed remote connections to this server.)

Also the firwall of the server is disable.

TCP/IP also enabled.

It show the below error when connecting:

An error has occurred while establishing a connection to the server. When connection to SQL Server 2005, this failure may be caused by the fact that under the default settings SQL Server does not allow remote connections. (provider: TCP Provider, error: 0 - A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond.) (Microsoft SQL Server, Error: 10060)

How can I do?

Can SQL 2005 Management Studio / Query Analyzer connect to SQL 2008?
