Hi,

We've been using SQL2k for -ever- and haven't migrated to SQL2005 until quite recently. I struggle a LOT with the 'Management Studio'. I simply do -not- like it, vs. good ol' QA.

Any recommendations on either:
1. Ways to make 'Management Studio' easier to work with (I guess by that I mean more 'QA-like') or...

2. A replacement editor/manager that -is- more user-friendly?

Thanks!

I guess what I dislike is the -layout- of the program. I wish I could just open it directly to the editor and just -go-. It seems like one always has to click about a lot to get the various 'management' stuff out of the way. I just want an -editor- without trees and panes and all the other clutter.

Can the screen layout be re-arranged some how?
