We've recently implemented our first SQL Server 2005 environment running on Windows 2003 STD server and are encountering various errors that are more than likely related to server side permissions granted to the DBA. Can anyone point me in the direction of documentation from Microsoft or any other relyable source specifiying the recommended security configuration that should be followed to grant the DBAs appropriate rights to administrate SQL Server 2005 on a Windows 2003 STD server without granting them local admin rights?

As info, all patches, software installs or OS server restarts are performed by the network services team.
