I have an application that first list the "business" db available on the server. It does so by querying the sysdatabases table. In sql 2k it works without problem (just by granting select on the table to guest).
With 2005 B2 it doesn't. The app connects to master as guest and guest has select right on the view (it is not anymore a table), but only the db on which guest has connect rights are listed. The application has all necessary rights on the business db including connect...
Of course I don't want to grant anyrights to guest on my business db...Has anyone an idea ?

Thanks in advance
Douglas

Hello

What version of SQL Server 2005 beta are you using? I run this one:

Microsoft SQL Server Yukon - 9.00.790 (Intel X86)
Apr 12 2004 18:41:04 2000.090.0790.00
Copyright (c) 1988-2003 Microsoft Corporation
"Yukon" Beta 2 on Windows NT 5.2 (Build 3790: )

And query against sysdatabases view returns all databases that my user can connect to.
