Hello,
Server A and LinkedServer1 are 2 different physical servers hosting 2 instances of Sql server.
Server A and LinkedServer1 are addlinked.

The below query is run on Server A SSMS:

insert into tableA
select * from LinkedServer1.DB1.dbo.table1

The query runs succesfuly.

My question is :

Internally, the query 'select * from LinkedServer1.DB1.dbo.table1' runs on server LinkedServer1 or serverA i.e during execution time is the query 'select * from LinkedServer1.DB1.dbo.table1' transferred to LinkedServer1 and executed there and then results returned to serverA?
if yes, can i track the
execution of 'select * from LinkedServer1.DB1.dbo.table1' on LinkedServer1 using Sqlprofiler?

regards,
