I'm having a strange issue and I can only point it to an obscure Vista permission.
Here is the scenario:
I logon to my Vista workstation with an account that is a member of the local admin group, launch SSMS w/ a Integration Services connection to aremote server and I can import an SSIS package, no problems.
Reality is that we have to use an account with minimal permissions and launch SSMS with the "runas" option so the SSMS session runs under different credentials than those we logged on Vista with.
Now, when I try to import a package, I get this error:
Unable to cast object of type 'Microsoft.SqlServer.Dts.ObjectExplorerUI.ImportPackageAsAction' to type 'Microsoft.SqlServer.Dts.ObjectExplorerUI.ISimpleAction'. (Microsoft.SqlServer.DtsObjectExplorerUI)
Yet, I asked my SQL Administrator who has local admin rights on the Integration Services server to see if he had the same problems, he succeeded.
What obscure permssion(s) is / are missing?
