I just started to learn SSIS.
When I click on the SSIS -> variables, there is no variables window pops up.
Can anyone tell me what's wrong?

Thanks.

Don't get discourage. SSIS is very difficult to self-learn.

You should take multimedia training.

You have to define variables, before you see them.

Also in package explorer, you should see the system variables at least. When you add your own variables, you will see them too.

yes, we hear that AppDev has some outstanding multimedia training. sqlusa on the other hand, gets not only poor reviews, but extremely poor reviews. a sampling of sqlusa's posts here are a pretty good indication as to why. would you buy training material from someone who barely understands the product, yet continues to spam this board daily?

in fact, the guy has to hire his daughter to post a decent review on amazon. unbelievable.

the fact that a post like the one above is permitted is simply shocking as it is in direct violation of the terms of use policy of this site.

in any event, since sqlusa is using this as an opportunity to spam the board again, here are contrasting reviews of the sqlusa product and AppDev http://weblog.infoworld.com/dbunder...eview.html

and here is an azazon.com review of sqlusa http://www.amazon.com/gp/cdp/member...centReview

and some quotes from them
"Worst Training CD's I ever experienced"
"I honestly can't imagine a bigger waste of money"
"Just ridiculous"
"pathetic"

looks like the wrong guy has the clown avatar...but then, there is a resemblance http://www.sqlusa.com/images/icons/kat/kalman1.gif

Thanks. You just convinced me not to spend the money on 58 CD's and to go with AppDev instead.
