I created an SSIS package that exports data from an Informix database using a generic Open Link ODBC driver and it runs fine but when I schedule it, it won't run.

Can anyone help. I am using a 4.2 Open Link driver and I cannot upgrade until the informix third party database is upgraded.

Probably the security context (account) is different when you run it like a job. Make sure the account has the right permissioning.

I'm sure it does since I run other jobs under that account. I really think it has something to do with open link.

As an FYI to anyone else having this problem. I fixed the issue by logging directly into the server and creating the package rather than using my local version of SQL Server. Doing this requires the server to use the driver installed on the box rather than the one installed on my desktop even though the parameters are the same.

No, my other jobs link to access databases because I couldn't get the open link driver to work when I first tried it.
