This always bothered me since the new forum went live which has been forever ago.
The ratings long side forum members. Even long term members still listed as 'New Member'.
I give you the user 'rm'; Also listed as a 'New Member' with no rating. Why is this?
Exactly 'how' the ratings are handled is not important to me.
I believe any member who and has say...over a thousand posts(been in the community for a while)
should get some credence on the 6 square rating you have under the user names.
Why is this important? Maybe cause people like my self list our online contributions on our
profiles, resume/CV's etc. to demonstrate our interest, and activities in the database
community. Suppose a manager goes to this site; looks up the user name and notices the
'New Member' status. Whats the perception at that point?
Reality doesn't matter at this point cause it's about perception. If the rating under
said member has 'New Member', then for all intensive purposes they are a NEW member to anyone
that's reading. Suddenly they appear as telling an untruth. Ludicrous.
I have no expectations from this post. I just had to point it out.
