for the last wk or so i see the following errors:

sql server 2005 administration when clicked --> [This category does not contain any topics.]
sql server 2005 analysis services when clicked --> [This category does not contain any topics.]
sql server 2005 data access when clicked --> [This category does not contain any topics.]
sql server 2005 development when clicked --> [This category does not contain any topics.]
sql server 2005 performance when clicked --> [This category does not contain any topics.]
sql server 2005 security when clicked --> [This category does not contain any topics.]

the only one that seems to be working in 2005 category is:
sql server general discussion

when a search is done for a specific 2005 discussion you'll get your results so the topics
exist of course, but they don't display upon first going in to the forums categories.

all other topics such as 2000 and so forth work fine.

just wondering what the situation is with this.

This error occurs when your profile settings have a filter to limit the number of days that you can view past posts. In order to correct this, please take the following steps:
1. Click on the Profile button at the top of the forums to edit your profile
2. Choose "Personal Options" in the forums page
3. Change "Days back to view topics for". The farther back you set this, the more posts you'll be able to see.

Hope this helps!

very cool... but i guess i made that adjustment so long ago i don't remember
even doing it. it's set to 999 so i think i'm good with it.

thanks for the reply though.

since i have your attention brandi i figure i would ask...

is there a setting that will allow your forum 'search' to work as good as it
did prior to version switch?

the search now... is... well should i say LESS than robust.
