Hi,

Does anyone use one of these tools: Idera SQL diagnostic manager or Quest's Spotlight?

Which one is better?

Thanks.

The both have pro's and cons as do all packages but I would highly recommend you look at Performance Advisor from SQL Sentry.

Why not consider SQLCentric - a web-based sql server monitoring and alert solution.

We are an award-winning software, and just picked up the SILVER award for Best Database and Performance Monitoring Product from SQL Server Magazine’s 2010 Community Choice Awards!

Hi - to be upfront, I work for Red Gate Software, so have an obvious bias here, but if you want a quick look at our SQL Monitoring solution, SQL Monitor, you can try an online demo now at:

http://monitor.red-gate.com

This is a live demo of SQL Monitor keeping an eye on the cluster behind the site http://www.sqlservercentral.com"http://>www.sqlservercentral.com.

Any questions, feel free to get in touch at dba.info@red-gate.com.
