When I execute a sproc from QA I get this message:

[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver]Timeout expired

I can run the sproc from the server with no problem, however, it won't run if it's exected from my machine. My co-worker can run it from his machine. I logged in with the same account info as he but it still won't work.
The query-timeout is set to 0 (unlimited).

I've been researching this for the last 2 days and cannot find a solution (although much is written about it).
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

rm,

Thanks for your help. I found the solution.
Apparently there are a few different places to set the query and login timeouts. There are two places that I now know of in EM and another in QA. Although I set the timeout to unlimited in EP by right clicking on the server, then properties - then connections - I didn't set it in QA (Tools-Options-Connections). I also didn't set it in EM (Tools-Options-Advanced). Once I set these then I solved my problem. Perhaps in future versions of SqlServer Microsoft will add another 50 ways of setting this property.

Thanks Again,
DL
