First off I would like to state that I am not a SQL person. But I am in charge of the server and systems where I work, So I spend my time on the other forums.

So anyways, I was told to purchase SQL 2008 and upgrade to it.

We are currently running 6 databases in SQL Server Express. You know the free one with the size limitations and whatnot.

So my question is if they are running fine within SQL Server Express will these databases run fine in SQL 2008 Standard?

I am in the process of contacting the vendors for the database to get their backup/migration guides.

Thanks for any guidance.

By the way, there's a video on the SQL Server 2008 webcasts and virtual labs about migrating from SQL Server 2005 to SQL Server 2008.
